Baby Dedications

Your child is a gift from God. A dedication is a commitment you and the church family make together to share in the spiritual growth of your son or daughter. It's a promise to model Christ to your child and to show him or her what it means to be connected to the church community. We look forward to partnering with you in this joyous decision.

Next Steps
If you're interested in having your child dedicated...

Step 1

Sign up for our next Baby Dedication event, Sunday, June 10 at 4:30 pm, by attending the next Baby Dedication Parent Orientation:  Sunday, May 6 • 1–3 pm • Room 205

Step 2
Attend the selected two-hour, parent orientation class.
We'd love for your family to come together, so bring your child, and if you're married, bring your spouse, too.

At this orientation, you'll learn what it means to dedicate your child to God along with the responsibilities you and your church family share as your child takes steps toward a relationship with Jesus. We'll also review “need to knows” related to the Baby Dedication Celebration and answer any questions you may have.

Step 3
Celebrate with your friends and family at the Baby Dedication Celebration. This is a meaningful and memorable occasion, and we look forward to making the day extra special for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer baptism for my infant?
No. As a church we believe baptism is a public declaration of an individual’s personal decision to follow Christ. We believe baptism is an outward sign of inward obedience. Since infants are not yet capable of making this decision, they are excluded from baptism. Children who have personally accepted Christ as their Savior are welcomed and encouraged to be baptized.

Can my family and friends attend the dedication celebration?
Absolutely! Family and friends are welcome to attend.

Is there a fee to dedicate my child or attend the celebration?
No. It's our honor and privilege to offer this special opportunity as a blessing to you and your family.
