Bring your professional skills, or be trained by a professional in technical production of weekend services. Whether you would like to learn:

• Camera operation
• Pro-presenter (graphics and words on the big screens)

• Lighting

• Sound engineering

There are plenty of opportunities available to serve.  No experience?  No problem!
 
Camera Operator
Description:
  Operate camera during weekend worship services as well as other church events. Also, opportunities to shoot other video projects may come occasionally. 
Training:   Have you ever used a video camera before? Experience with video/film is helpful, but not required. We will train.
Time commitment:   2 services on Sunday. (3.5 hours total) Every third week or so.

Lighting Engineer

Description:
  Use the functions of the lighting system to make creative/ambient light "looks" for the weekend services and other special events. Also, the opportunity to be part of the lighting setup and design for new sermon series'.
Training:   Do you have a strong interest in visual arts? Are you detail oriented? Perhaps lighting is for you! No experience required, but a passion to learn.
Time commitment:   Once every third or forth week for ALL weekend services. Also, the opportunity to help with designing the new light "looks"—typically 3 hours once per month for a new series.

Pro-Presenter Operator
Description:
  Use the Pro-presenter application to display all side screen media to the congregation. This usually includes lyrics, sermon notes, and video clips. Also, some editing and formatting of slides will be required. 
Training:   Experience with the Mac computers is helpful, but not required. Good design sense is also a plus. We will train.
Time commitment:   Once per month for ALL weekend services, plus 2 hours of Saturday rehearsal before the service.

Music/Production A2
Description:
  Assist with Audio setup, strikes, and wiring of the stage for weekend services. Learn the basics of sound and how we integrate them into our services. This is the entry position into the sound team.
Training:   Are you technically minded? Perhaps you have worked in the sound business or "ran sound" before. This is a plus but not required.
Time commitment:   Weeknight rehearsals (Wed. or Thu.) once every other week for training. (3—3.5 hrs total) Our weekend Front-of-House Mixers (the next position on sound team after A2) are scheduled for ALL services and weeknight rehearsals once every third week.

Video Editor / Duplication Team
Description:
  Use Final Cut Pro to edit and produce the weekly podcasts, DVDs, and CDs. Not sure if you're interested in the editing part? Begin by being part of the crew that duplicates and prints all of the media for orders we get. Also, prepare blank media for weekend use.
Training:   Are you detail oriented? Experience with Macs is a plus but not required. We will train on Final Cut Pro as this is the platform we have in house for editing video. Also, we will train on the use of duplicators and printers for DVDs and CDs.
Time commitment:   Once every other week for 3 hours. Actual day and time is pretty flexible.
