Serving is part of who we are at Princeton Alliance Church. We model Jesus as we serve each other inside the church and the world outside the church. Below are very practical ways you can volunteer and be involved in the life of PAC. Opportunities are organized by area of ministry (alphabetically). Spiritual gifts are listed to help you find your niche but shouldn't limit you. To send us an email telling us you're interested, simply click the title of the volunteer position. Support, encourage and equip a small group of adults on a regular basis. Experience varies; training is provided. Frequency: 2–3 times per month, 2–3 hours each. Spiritual Gifts: Leadership, Teaching, Discernment, Encouraging. Help our church family by handing out worship folders, finding seats in the Sanctuary and receiving the offering. No experience necessary. Frequency: 2 times per month for 1.5 hours. Spiritual Gifts: Hospitality, Encouraging, Serving. Offer a warm welcome to the church family as they enter the building. No experience necessary, but a friendly smile is required. Frequency: 2 times per month for 30 minutes. Spiritual Gifts: Hospitality, Encouraging, Serving. Assist those new to PAC by answering questions and helping them feel at home. No experience necessary. Frequency: 2 times per month for 90 minutes. Spiritual Gifts: Creative Communication, Discernment, Encouraging, Hospitality, Serving. Assist the church family in finding parking by directing traffic in the parking lot. No experience necessary. Assist and welcome families checkingtheir children into Promised Land and Crosswalk on Sunday mornings. No experience necessary but a background check is required. Help us with in-house production such as trimming, folding, “stuffing,” and other assembly of print/promotional materials. No experience necessary but an attention to detail is a plus. You'll serve with a partner so it’s fun! Frequency: As needed, typically twice monthly on Wednesdays (daytime or evening) or Thursdays (daytime) for 1–3 hours. Spiritual Gifts: Craftsmanship and Serving. Assist our Lead Graphic Designer with design projects. Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite 5+ (Illustrator, PhotoShop and InDesign) and have a current design portfolio. Frequency: As needed by project (Monday–Thursday during office hours, Wednesday daytime or evening). Spiritual Gifts: Creative Communication, Craftsmanship and Serving. Help newcomers to the church feel welcome by being part of the team that assembles and packages gifts for the Welcome Center. No experience necessary although an attention to detail is a plus. Plan, organize and coordinate the children's activities for our monthly workshops and big events. Seeking reliable volunteers with a love for children. Background check required. Frequency: 1–4 hours per week depending on the time of year. Spiritual Gifts: Administration, Apostleship, Leadership, Shepherd. Plan, organize and coordinate all aspects of this very special ministry to displaced families living in a local motel. No experience necessary although solid interpersonal skills, compassion and administrative skills are a plus. Frequency: 1–4 hours per week. Spiritual Gifts: Administration, Apostleship, Leadership, Mercy. Assist in a particular aspect of one of our big events (such as set up, food service, clean up, etc.). No experience necessary. Frequency: Varies but does not require a weekly time commitment. Spiritual Gifts: Apostleship, Hospitality, Mercy, Serving. Teach a 30–60 minute workshop for single moms on a variety of practical topics. No experience necessary but a comfort with speaking to a group is important. | Operations Bookkeeping Assistant Offering Entry Assistant General Churchwide Volunteer |
Assist the church bookkeeper with light administrative duties such as filing accounts payable documents and entering expenses into QuickBooks. QuickBooks training can be provided. An interview is required for this volunteer position. Frequency: 1–2 hours weekly between 10 am and 4:30 pm (day and time are flexible). Spiritual Gifts: Wisdom, Discernment, Leadership, Administration. Assist the Operations Director by entering weekly contribution data into the church database (Fellowship One). Database training will be provided. An interview is required for this volunteer position. Frequency: 4 hours weekly each Monday from 9:30 am–1:30 pm (Tuesday when Monday is a holiday). Spiritual Gifts: Administration, Discernment, Leadership. Sometimes we just need a cheerful, willing volunteer to assist wherever there’s a need. If you’re open to being someone we call when a need arises, please let us know. You'll enjoy a wide variety of experiences working with different ministry leaders completing easy tasks. Frequency: “On call” (meaning we’ll call to see if you’re available; if not, we’ll move on down the list). Days and times may vary but we’ll provide a minimum of 12 hours notice.
