The Region
Thailand is located in the center of mainland Southeast Asia. It is bordered to the northwest by Myanmar, to the northeast by Laos, to the southeast by Cambodia, to the south by the Gulf of Thailand. Its capital Bangkok offers many cultural attractions, great food, interesting buildings, and old buddhist temples. Thai people have a reputation for friendliness and hospitality.
